Our Story

Li Ji Chuan Chuan Xiang is a famous hot pot restaurant, known for providing authentic Chongqing hot pot in the heart of the city. For many years, we have been dedicated to bringing the rich flavors and traditional techniques of Chongqing cuisine to our patrons.

Our Ingredients

• Edible Oil: We use high-quality vegetable oil, corn oil, or sunflower oil to enhance the flavors of our dishes. We avoid olive oil as its strong flavor can overpower the delicate balance of our hotpot.
• Vegetables: Our vegetables are typically fried, though we also offer fresh, raw vegetables that can be dipped in sambal belachan, a spicy cold condiment, to provide a refreshing contrast to the hotpot.
• Spices: We carefully select and blend fennel, cumin, coriander, cardamom, cloves, star anise, mustard seeds, cinnamon sticks, fenugreek, and nutmeg to create the distinctive and robust flavors that define our hot pot.

For example, Yuna, one of our regular customers, always looks forward to her mother’s masak lemak cili api, a spicy coconut gravy, whenever she visits home. Our coconut-based dishes offer a taste of Malaysia’s diverse culinary landscape, adding another layer of flavor to our menu.
